Braddock's Trail Wildflower Walking Tours
The Department of Parks & Recreation is pleased to once again promote the Braddock's Trail Wildflower Walking Tours. The tours are scheduled every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:00am, weather permitting. Please call the NHT Administration Office at 724-863-3806 to register.
Local Services Tax
Beginning January 1, 2012, the Local Services Tax (LST) will no longer be collected for the Township by Norwin School District. The new LST collector is Berkheimer, the same company which collects the new County-wide Earned Income Tax (EIT). The 1st quarter LST payment is due by April 30th. Please look in your mail for additional information from Berkheimer which should arrive in the next few weeks.
E-Waste Recycling
In anticipation of the landfill ban of e-waste that goes into effect in January 2013, Westmoreland Cleanways now has a FREE permanent drop-off service for small businesses and municipalities in Westmoreland County. Located at the GreenForge Building, 226 DonohoeRoad, Greensburg PA 15601. Dropoffs can be scheduled Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., by appointment only. Truth in Advertising Ordinance
The Truth in Advertising Ordinance has been adopted by the Board of Commissioners to address the problem of businesses and organizations identifying themselves as situated in other municipalities rather than North Huntingdon Township. This exacerbates confusion for patrons and visitors and results in delays and misdirected requests for emergency assistance essential to preserve property and life. The Ordinance requires that establishments and organizations identify their location as being located within the Township of North Huntingdon.
